“How does one express thoughts that are often too large to express with only words? I have found my canvas’ to be a place that I can pour my soul and energy into. Relationships, explorations, the beauty found in Central Oregon, past traumas and pain are put into every stroke of paint. My paintings hold a wide range of emotions ranging from some of my most blissful moments to the most painful things humans can endure. They are visual diaries, but my goal within my work is that others can reflect and create their own stories when they look at my art.
My newest work has found a new voice. As I have been maturing out of my young 20’s, I have found myself more confident in my thoughts and ability to express boldly with paint. Leaving breathing room and sitting with my paintings to problem solve has become more of the process. My brushstrokes have taken on more intention. Painting is a healing practice for me. The pressures that land in my life, are the reason these pieces exist. Pain can create beauty.” written in Fall 2019
